Prepaid Session Package (包期)
Also known as: Session bundle · Prepaid course · Course package
A sales model where the client pays upfront for a fixed number of sessions (e.g., 10 facial treatments), then redeems one per visit. Common in Asian SPAs, skincare, slimming, and beauty studios.
Full definition
A Prepaid Session Package (包期) is a fixed-quantity, prepaid services bundle — typically 10 or 20 sessions — sold at a discount versus per-session pricing. Each return visit decrements one session from the package balance.
Why this concept matters
Packages are the dominant sales model across Asian beauty: the client gets a discount, the shop gets upfront cash flow, the beautician secures repeat work. But bookkeeping is hard — how does each redeemed session count toward performance? How are partial refunds calculated? How do unconsumed sessions carry across fiscal years? Generic CRMs cannot handle these edges.
How MeiYe Zhan handles it
MeiYe Zhan's `CustomerPackage` model has built-in session decrement logic: each visit auto-deducts one session; remaining sessions can be refunded at per-session value; the same treatment record can both purchase a new package and consume sessions from it on the same day; dashboard alerts surface packages ≤5 sessions from expiry. **Revenue follows cash (Option A)**: only the cash actually paid that day counts toward performance; unpaid balances are credited to performance on the date they are paid.
Concrete example
A customer buys a 10-session facial package for NT$10,000 (per-session value NT$1,000). On purchase day they redeem 1 session and pay in full → revenue NT$1,000, 9 sessions remaining. If they pay only NT$5,000 upfront → revenue NT$500 (following cash); each remaining session's sessionValue is NT$500 until the rest is paid.
